Daytime Gourmet

Members gather three times during the year in small groups of approximately six to eight people, each preparing a pre-assigned recipe. If you've thought about trying Daytime Gourmet, but couldn't commit to three luncheons, sign up for the sub list. Best of all, subs get a copy of all of this year's recipes to enjoy at home. Our roster is full, but there is still room on our sub list, plus all subs receive a full set of this year's recipes. Upcoming events include Southern Comfort (January 14), Tuscan Sweetheart Dinner (February 11), Mexico – One Luncheon at a Time (March 11) and an optional Foodie Field Trip in April (to be announced). Evening Diners

Hosted by a different couple each month, couples prepare an assigned recipe which result in a theme based menu. Hosted by a different couple each month, it is a great way to meet new people, try great food and enjoy an evening out. Chairperson: Ann Maine, 374-0214. You do not need to be a gourmet to join us. The cost of the meal is divided among those who attend.

Daytime Bowling

This fun non-competitive group meets every Monday monring from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Hawthorn Lanes in Vernon Hills. Free professional babysitting is available. New members at all levels are welcome. Chairperson: Ann Blomberg, 945-8645.

Bunko

Have fun with your girlfriends playing this dice game which takes no skills, but is lots of fun. This is a purely social group that meets every third Thursday of the month. Bunko registration is still open. Grab a friend or two and sign up today! We only need 2 more people to make a group of 12...and we have 7 subs already! Bunko is a great way to get out of the house for a little and have fun that is BIG. Enjoy loads of laughs with your refreshments. Please contact Julia Foster at fostergimbel@comcast.net .

Book Club

The reading material for this club is slelected by the club's moderators, hostesses and avid readers. Different members host the group get togethers on the third Monday of each month. This is an informal group, so feel free to join and come to the discussions as your schedule permits. The November book club meeting will be held on Monday, November 17th and we will be discussing The American Plague by Molly Caldwell Crosby.

Intermediate/Advanced Bridge

Evening Bridge: 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Chairperson: Barb Schaper at 847-948-8989.

Tennis
- All matches are played at College Park Athletic Club in Bannockburn.

Women’s Doubles: Plays Friday mornings 9-11 a.m. All levels of play are available. Chairperson: Lauren Chocholak, 282-3969.

Mixed Doubles Couples play on Saturdays once a month (Oct - May) from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at College Park followed by a social hour with food and drinks. Subs are welcome! Chairperson: Kristin Keevins, 235-2610.

Playgroups

Interested in starting or joining a playgroup with other Lincolnshire moms? Groups are organized by age and meet at alternating homes each week. For more information, contact Carrie McCarthy or carriejmccarthy@comcast.net.

Scrapbooking

This group will normally meet at members' homes monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (starting in October). Chairperson: Mary Claire O'Donnell. 374-0315,

Golf League

This is a nine-hole golf league which will be held at Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center starting in late April, extendning through September. Tee times will start at 4 p.m. every Thursday and cocktails follow the golf. You can play weekly or bi-weekly and all levels of play are welcome.
